Fashion Boundary Pure Mirror Collection Photoshoot
The Moss Magazine Photoshoot from 2019 aptly named ‘Farm Stead Reverie’ featured a number of Fashion Boundary items from the Pure Mirror capsule collection.
Farm and Country fashion styling at it’s best. A mix between traditional farm fashion of a broad-brim tan hat and some well-loved RM Williams paired with modern, feminine silhouettes from the Fashion Boundary collection. Photography and styling by Veronika Makovery-Carafa who directed this beautiful sequence of photos which encapsulates the laid back nature of Fashion Boundary garments. Location scouting, videography, photo editing and editorial composition was by the talented, Harriet Brown.
Casual Country Styling
Paired with an Andy Oak Hat by Will&Bear and the Millicent Boots by RM Williams the Prairie Cream Dress acts as a simple, relaxed everyday piece that is comfortable and stylish. It features a high neckline with bow at the front, 3/4 sleeves with a decorative seam through the sleeves and the body.
The Fashion Boundary Classic Trench Coat styled with a black turtleneck, light wash denim, a black bag and RM Williams boot and of course a broad-brim tan hat to top it off. This outfit is practical yet features stylish additions to a classic outdoor look. We believe everyone needs a trench coat in their collection. The Fashion Boundary Trench Coat is simple and will style well with all the items in your current wardrobe. It features a waist tie, is double-breasted with shiny gold buttons with a classic lapel style. Pleat detailing at the back of the waist tie seam. Slightly oversized fit for comfort.
The 3-tier Prairie Dress paired with a brown cord jacket and riding boots is a look to remember. Soft browns are on-trend and yet still feel classic Australian county. This dress has short, decorative sleeves and a high decorative crew neck. It has a three-tier body and depending on your height will either be a maxi dress or a midi dress. We love how comfortable and stylish we feel in this dress. As it's not restricting in any way on the body, you'll no doubt pick this one to wear in those warmer months.
Australian Outback Inspiration
Fashion Boundary is a proudly Australian and this collection was largely inspired by the original earthy colour palette of Uluru, the large sandstone rock formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory in central Australia. Rock textures have been reinterpreted into the folded lotus leaf details. The main colour scheme Tan, Cream, Grey and Black were inspired by the incredible red earth and colour palettes of its surroundings.
The Pure Mirror collection was a collaboration with Jianyu from Thou Art and the vision was to create delicate, streamlined pieces, to create high-quality fashion garments for the new generation of independent women. For this collection, we repeatedly focused on draping and layering, capturing the authenticity and purity of the materials Jianyu uses. We found a balance between traditional techniques and modern styles, drawing from nature, architecture, music and film.
We believe, the rustic backdrop and the classic Australian styling of tan hats and boots work perfecting with this collection which is a nod to the inspiration behind the collection. We thank Moss Magazine and all who was involved with this project.
